ENGO Misr · Workbook technology platform
AI and digital infrastructure for governments and institutions.
We build the technology behind public services: computer vision that protects workers on site, document AI that verifies official papers, voice and chat agents that serve people in Arabic, and platforms proven at national scale.

Our technology
Six capabilities, built and running in our own systems
This is not a list of what we could do. Each capability below links to the system where we built it. Images are illustrative.
Models that read ordinary site video and turn it into a continuous safety record.
- Worker detection with confidence scores
- Helmet, vest, gloves, boots and safety-belt checks
- Pose tracking, monitored zones and violation logs

How we build
The engineering decisions behind our systems
Rules decide, AI explains
In our local content reviewer, a script calculates every number and an AI agent writes the report, which is then checked against the results.
Arabic first, many languages by design
Our agents work in up to 12 languages, by text and by voice, and understand how people in Egypt actually ask.
Verified at the source
Identity, documents and memberships are checked against institutions and their records, not taken from what a user declares.
A person stays in the loop
Assistants hand complex cases to staff with a reference number, and compliance submissions go to manual review.
Measured from day one
Dashboards track self-service rate, response time and satisfaction, and list exactly what the AI could not answer.
Built for everyone who must use it
CVs by voice, coaching in dialect and full right-to-left interfaces, so literacy and paperwork are never the barrier.

The company
ENGO Misr, an Egyptian joint stock company
ENGO Misr (Enterprise Network for Government & Organizations) is an Egyptian joint stock company that builds AI-native platforms for governments, institutions and the workforce.
We deliver financial, educational, insurance and compliance technology through two platforms that share one philosophy, and through custom systems for public authorities.

The platform
Five pillars, one set of rails
Institutions adopt Workbook one pillar at a time. Together, the five pillars cover the working life from identity and skill to employment, protection and compliance.

Why it matters
A job alone is not enough.
A worker, and a woman in particular, needs the right skill, knowledge of their rights and a safe workplace. Today these are scattered across institutions, so a worker rarely reaches them together.
62.5%
of Egypt's labour market is estimated to be informal
Estimate cited in the Workbook company profile
Each gap feeds the next
- 01
No identity
Millions work without a verified professional record.
- 02
No formal work
Without a record there is no contract and no registration.
- 03
No protection
Without a contract there is no insurance and no benefits.
- 04
No finance
Without protection there is no account, card or credit.
Why now
Labour Law No. 14 of 2025
The new labour law makes registering irregular workers a legal duty, carried out through the companies and contractors who employ them. It also creates a welfare fund whose benefits need trusted channels to reach the people entitled to them.
Our technology is ready to serve this: verified identity, registration, compliance and benefit delivery, on rails already in use.
Vision, mission and values
Vision
Every worker in Egypt, inside a syndicate or outside one, holds a trusted professional identity that opens the door to work, protection and financial services.
Mission
Digitise the work ecosystem in one system, so institutions serve people faster, employers hire people they can trust, and partners reach those who could not be reached before.
Values
People
Every service is designed for someone who may be outside a syndicate, a contract or a bank.
Technology
Used to remove procedures rather than add them.
Trust
Everything rests on verification by the bodies responsible.
Opportunity
Skills lead to work, work to protection, and protection to finance.
